At ATMC we are dedicated to providing all our students with the very best support services, so they have a successful academic experience. In addition to standard university support services, international students are provided with a range of specialist services such as assistance with resume writing and looking for part-time work. All ATMC students have access to welfare-related support services to assist with issues that may arise during their study, including program progress, attendance requirements and accommodation.
Student Well-being and Emotional Support
The Welfare, Academic Services and Careers Assistance (WACA) department is responsible for the orientation and on-going welfare of all international students at ATMC. We pride ourselves on providing international students with the highest level of support possible, the WACA team will help you on your educational journey from orientation to social activities and excursions.
The department can help you with information on visa conditions such as:
- course progress and attendance requirements
- contact details
- working while on student visa
- providing information about ATMC facilities and procedures
- arrange learning support to help with academic difficulties.
At ATMC we recognise that students might need additional help with their studies and therefore we assign mentors to our students. The Student Mentoring Program is all about students helping students. The program connects students who are undertaking their first semester of study at ATMC with other students who are further along in their studies.

Our Student Support Officers will answer any general questions you may have and assist you with settling in to the college and the Australian way of life. Orientation week is conducted for all new international students before the beginning of every semester. At orientation you'll learn about ATMC services and facilities as well as an introduction to Australian culture, society and life. The orientation day also includes numerous fun social activities, which will help you to meet other students and familiarise yourself with the campus and surrounds.
Finding the right accomodation is one the biggest challenges facing a new international student, and finding the right price range can be even harder. There are many different types of accomodation available, so you should be able to find something that suits your needs.
ATMC can help you arrange temporary or permanent accomodation before you leave home, so that when you arrive you have time to consider long-term accomodation options. For more information contact, email@example.com.
Hostels are a great temporary accomodation option for when you first arrive to Australia. Most hostels are maneged by youth organisations such as Youth Hostels Australia and the YMCA.
